Kort fortalt: Kerta Whisper er fullstendig lokal. Appen samler ikke inn noe, sender ingen bruksstatistikk og har ingen konto. Lyden din, opptakene og teksten forlater aldri maskinen.

Alt behandles på maskinen din

All diktering skjer lokalt. Tale-til-tekst (whisper.cpp) og AI-opprydding (en lokal Ollama-modell, eller en regelbasert reserve) kjører på din egen maskinvare. Ingenting av det du sier eller skriver sendes til noen server.

Nettverk — bare når du selv ber om det

Appen ringer aldri hjem, og det finnes ingen bruksstatistikk som samles inn i bakgrunnen. De eneste gangene appen bruker nettet er handlinger du selv starter:

Når du laster ned en transkripsjonsmodell (fra Hugging Face, med verifisert sjekksum).
Når du klikker «Se etter oppdateringer».

Ingen av disse sender med data om deg eller dikteringen din — de henter bare en fil du har bedt om.

In short: Kerta Whisper is fully local. The app collects nothing, sends no usage statistics, and has no account. Your audio, recordings, and text never leave your machine.

Everything is processed on your machine

All dictation happens locally. Speech-to-text (whisper.cpp) and AI cleanup (a local Ollama model, or a rule-based fallback) run on your own hardware. Nothing you say or type is sent to any server.

Network — only when you ask for it

The app never phones home, and no usage statistics are collected in the background. The only times it uses the network are actions you start yourself:

When you download a transcription model (from Hugging Face, with a verified checksum).
When you click "Check for updates."

Neither sends any data about you or your dictation — they just fetch a file you asked for.
